Life Calling Bootcamp

I’m based in the UK and am an avid reader, knitter, coffee drinker, snowboarder, paddle boarder and foster carer! When I’m not coaching or trying new fun activities, I also run a laser engraving business with my husband and try and do a good job of raising our two birth sons (who also have their own business, buying and selling lego!)

I tend to work with entrepreneurs, business owners and church leaders in my day to day coaching work but also adore taking people through their CliftonStrengths results and going on a journey of finding the joy and the way forwards in your purpose, calling and dreams. I can’t wait to meet you and find out what only you have to bring to the world.

This destiny finder program helps a growing number of believers experience heart restoration and gain clarity of their God-given destiny.

Prior to my present occupation as coach, I was a missionary for 17 years to Albania, the poorest country in Europe. Here I worked in international teams doing church planting and discipleship programs.

I am looking forward to living out my passion for life calling in an international community under the umbrella of LCI. I live in Germany and have been married to my wonderful wife, Monika for 20 years and we have 3 kids.

My expertise around the integration of coaching with Neuroscience helps clients get unstuck, which often centers around mindsets and beliefs. I was Chris Heinz's life coach and subsequently brought into LCI to train and mentor the coaches who staff the Life Calling Bootcamp. I'm a faculty member, and former Dean of Life Coaching, at the Professional Christian Coaching Institute.

I've earned a master’s degree in Education, having logged over 4,200 hours coaching and mentoring clients. I've been married to Deanna for 38 years and we have two adult daughters, one who is married, and one grandson whom we find every excuse to spend time with.

When not coaching, I enjoy spending time with family, reading history around WWII and traveling in the mid-Atlantic region with Deanna.

My goal: inspire them to achieve greater personal satisfaction, confidence, meaningful performance outcomes, and success. My professional career spans 38 years in the health insurance industry consulting with employers and individuals to comply with state and federal laws, help them finance the cost of health care, and advocate, on their behalf with lawmakers and regulators, to improve the health care landscape. Feeling a strong calling to advocate and serve more deeply, I began Forte Consulting Atlanta helping individuals, businesses, and teams to plan, build, grow, and prosper. My coaching background includes hundreds of individuals and teams, in various industries and walks of life, including private and non-profit businesses, couples, families, teachers, along with faith-based communities, associations and other volunteer-based groups with the desire to engage and enrich their members, congregations, and leaders.

I have been married for over two decades and have two young adult daughters, one biological and one adopted. Part of my life calling has been immersion in parenting, marriage, and baby-boomer generation lived experiences, including being part of the sandwich generation, raising daughters and helping an aging parent navigate healthy independence.

Life calling isn’t always easy. By the time I was 40, three of my immediate family had tragically passed away. I have first-hand experience with grief and actualizing my life calling through that grief.

The apostle Paul gave some guidance for the purpose of such life experiences in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, “Blessed be…the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” (ESV).

I am grateful for the privilege I have had to broaden and deepen my knowledge and experiences so that I may serve my clients most effectively.

I have been formally coaching since 2017, but I have been mentoring for decades. My faith is key to my coaching and is my lens for life calling. My Top 5 Clifton Strengths are Learner, Connectedness, Individualization, Input and Achiever. I am an Enneagram social 8-wing 7. I love people and value and honor their personhood.

I believe we are uniquely created and gifted and that everyone has a unique life calling.

My favorite thing about my job was helping students (of all ages) discover who he/she was meant to be and create an action plan to achieve their goals. That work has been my life calling and I’m very pleased to be able to continue this work as a Coach with the Life Calling Institute.

I am a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. I wrote my dissertation on “Fostering a Growth Mindset in the Community College Classroom” (2013) and two years ago I took a full year sabbatical to study how to help college students find purpose and meaning.

Those are still 3 of my favorite topics – strengths, mindset, and purpose - and I continue to present workshops for a wide variety of audiences on all three. My education background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, a Master’s degree in Counseling, and a Doctorate in Adult Learning. I’ve been married for 38 years to the love of my life and we have two grown children and three adorable grandchildren.
