Caring for People, Creating Results

What Is Coaching?

It used to be that most people thought of sports coaching when it came to coaching. But coaching isn't just for athletes anymore...Today, coaching is being accepted as a best practice in life and work.

Many people struggle with shortfalls, blind spots, obstacles, and deficiencies much longer than they have to. A coach helps them to move forward in ways that matter most, and afterward clients wonder, "Why did I wait so long?"

Why Do People Get Coached?

According to the International Coach Federation, the top reasons people get coached are to:

  • Relieve a present pain
  • Improve power skills
  • Fix a broken relationship
  • Gain new insights
  • Get fresh hope

What could coaching do for you?

What Clients Are Saying

"I first met Chris as a coach and trainer related to CliftonStrengths and the Enneagram. Both were tools that I was familiar with, but Chris helped me see them in new ways, and helped me to begin to use and develop those aspects of myself more fully. I count myself lucky to have been coached and trained by Chris. Our interactions always leave me with new insights!"

Kathy Goller

"I always walk away from my coaching sessions with Chris Heinz clearer about my purpose! He has a divine consultative approach to coaching that is so authentic and effective!"

Dr. Renee Cromer

"Coaching helped me identify my strengths, which in turn helped me understand what to prioritize in my work and my sense of calling. I have newfound clarity and confidence."

Bret Mavrich

"I worked with Chris as my coach early in my journey as an entrepreneur. I was trying to find my niche. I was trying to set some priorities. And I was trying to make the hard decision to leave my day job and go into consulting full time. Chris walked with me through these decisions, asking thoughtful questions and offering unwavering encouragement. He made me believe I could do more than I ever imagined and I’ll always be grateful! "

Jennifer Doyle Vancil

"I had the pleasure of working with Chris for 8 years at EnergyCAP, LLC. Chris has a way of asking questions and listening to help a person come to conclusions on their own when seeking direction for decisions. He always took time to listen and understand my concerns. He is an engaging communicator, skilled at presenting information and made me feel like my conversations with him were the most important thing he had to do at the time. He was a great listener and made me feel like my contributions were valuable."

Spencer Smith

"As a result of my coaching with Chris, I have been able to change in ways I have never had the ability to before. Two words, Breakthrough and Freedom. I am Grateful!"

About Me

What Do I Bring As A Coach?

As a Professional Certified Coach, I have coached over 500 hours in a variety of professional and personal settings. I utilize the co-active coaching model, which partners with clients in a creative and collaborative process to help clients meet their goals.

I got started in coaching when I was Chief People Officer for EnergyCAP, where I looked for innovative ways to support employees. As a result, I earned multiple coaching certifications.

I've worked with college deans, department heads, managers, contributors, as well as individuals looking to improve in personal issues.

The majority of my coaching has been around:

  • assessment debriefs (CliftonStrengths, Enneagram, PathwayU)
  • team management
  • leadership development
  • employee engagement
  • career and life calling

The coaching I do is sometimes part of a bigger work like company programming or team coaching and sometimes it is standalone work.
